For those obsessed with all things pumpkin, there’s really no end to where this antioxidant-rich squash can be used. And smoothies are no exception! Regardless if you choose to start the day with one or have one for a snack, this pumpkin pie smoothie will fill you up and get you going without the drop of many other sugary alternatives.
This quick, simple recipe is so good, you’ll be sure to make it a regular this fall.
makes 1 large smoothie | 5 minute prep time
- ½ cup pure pumpkin puree
- 1 large banana
- 6-8 ice cubes
- 6 oz vanilla yogurt
- ½ tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 1 tsp honey
- 3 Tbsp milk
- Pinch of nutmeg and whipped cream garnish (optional)
In a blender, combine pumpkin, banana, ice, yogurt, spice, honey and milk; pulse until smooth. Pour into a glass, top with whipped cream and pinch of nutmeg. For an even creamier or richer smoothie, try adding Greek yogurt or a scoop of vanilla protein powder.
