A New You: Weight Loss Surgery recently discussed the importance of support groups before and after weight loss surgery, and now there is a way to join those groups and talk about your life-changing decision without even leaving the house.
Bariatric Support Centers International has created a series of telephone support groups where participants can call in and join discussions about weight loss surgery. The telephonic support groups provide a secure, welcoming setting for patients who have had or are considering having weight-loss surgery or who just want to lose weight.
Groups last about one hour, but you may come and go as you please. All weight-loss surgery patients, supporters and investigators are welcome to participate, learn, share or just listen in.
Each telesupport groups is different — with discussions centered around the latest in bariatric surgery, supplement, and the topics that are important to you. The groups are held on the first Monday, second Tuesday and third Thursday of each month, and the next one is scheduled for March 3.
No need to register — just call in. The BSCI TeleSupport Groups are held three times each month, and the schedules of the next support group call-ins are below:
Mondays7:00 PM Tuesdays6:30 PM |

To join, call 712-432-9998 and enter BSCI Participant code No. 602024. (Toll charges may apply.)
