BEE Award Winner: Bertha Baison, Call Center Operator

BEE Award Winner: Bertha Baison, Call Center Operator

Bertha works with Ms. Ella Mae in the Call Center. Each morning that they are scheduled together, Bertha helps Ms. Ella by getting her vehicle. She pulls it up to the front of the Support Services entrance, puts Ms. Ella’s walker in the vehicle and waits until Ms. Ella gets in her vehicle. I have seen this on rainy days and cold days; she is consistent and reliable. I have asked Ms. Ella when I don’t see Bertha if she needs assistance, and each time she will state, “Oh no, Bertha is coming.”

As a person that believes we owe our elders respect, kindness and honor, I nominate Bertha for the BEE Award. She exemplifies ALL of Woman’s core values and more each day. I appreciate this wholeheartedly in this day where people just do not take the time to help others in similar situations.  She will be blessed, that is a promise from above.

The BEE (Being Excellent Every Day) Award recognizes team members outside of nursing for going above and beyond to care for patients, visitors and each other. If you would like to say “thank you” to a staff member who made a difference you will never forget, nominate them for a Daisy or Bee Award.
