Twelve years ago, Linda Hull was diagnosed with breast cancer after a routine mammogram at Woman’s. Today, she’s a survivor.
She wants to show other women that breast cancer is survivable, and with the right attitude, life goes on. This is her first year designing a bra for BUST Breast Cancer, Woman’s annual bra art fashion show. And with a Mardi Gras theme, her design exudes the joie de vivre that has defined her life since beating breast cancer.
“My inspiration for creating a bra for BUST Breast Cancer came from my niece, who works for Woman’s as a labor and delivery nurse,” Linda said. “She showed me a bra that she purchased and it was so creative, I thought that I could do this as well.”
Linda also wanted to give back to Woman’s in a unique way because she says her cancer care was excellent. “It is the best hospital in Baton Rouge,” she said.
She is looking forward to seeing her bra modeled down the runway with all of its sparkle and spirit, and to the hope it will give to other women fighting breast cancer.
BUST Breast Cancer includes a bra art fashion show, chef’s showcase and silent auction. Sunday, September 25, 2016, 7:00 PM. Option for VIP Reception 6:00 PM, and Special Reserved Stage Seating Tickets available this year! Plan to attend and buy yours now>>
