How would you like to be able to get away with doing the same things that your toddler does? I’m not talking about the cute stuff and being able to nap during the middle of the day. I’m talking about all the things that you probably don’t like YOUR own toddler doing.
I have been following the comedic geniuses Tripp and Tyler for a while now. They are both originally from Baton Rouge, but now live in Atlanta and have a live variety show there (hopefully they will bring it to Baton Rouge one night so I can see them live). Along with that, they make hilarious videos that take the funny things in our everyday lives and make them even funnier.
Why, do you ask am I even bringing these guys up? It’s because of a recent comedic video that they made titled “Things you can’t do when you’re not a toddler”. They both always star in their own videos. Please watch and enjoy in the hilarious 2 minutes that WILL put a smile on your face before you continue reading my blog.
If you are like me…. Your cheeks are hurting from laughing so hard. Now before I had my son, this video probably wouldn’t have been as funny to me. But my oh my…. Now that I have a toddling 19 month old, this video affects me so much more.
If you have kept up with my blogs, I started writing for Woman’s Hospital when my son was about 5 months old. As mentioned above, he’s now 19 months old. Everything that the books say will happen at 19 months old, IS happening. He’s loving testing gravity with different objects. He likes to run around the house naked. He’s climbing all over everything, along with banging his head on everything. His mind is growing SO quickly. I feel like every day he’s learning something new and constantly putting those things to memory and testing them out.
I wish though, that I could do some of those things and get away with it. Maybe not in public, but just in general. As the video shows…. when someone asks my age I’m going to be 28 ½ NOT 28. Seeing the reaction on people’s faces when you say that would be priceless. I also wish I could just hide behind something/someone when I didn’t want to talk to people. As an adult though, we must be polite even though we may not like it.
I guess we should just let the toddlers stick to doing what they do best. Clearly us adults can’t be cute doing it… but our little munchkins can!!!! I hope you all loved the video. I would like to know what you think about it. Also, if you would like to follow the guys on Twitter, you can find them at @trippandtyler.
I hope you all have a wonderful day and remember…parenthood is a blessing…enjoy every minute of it.
